About CJ Wilkes Photography

Capturing Your Dance In The Rain is such a thrill and joy to me. Being able to look back on those special times through beautiful artistic imagery makes it a worthwhile challenge.
Learning to Dance in the Rain has been very easy for me. I am drawn to Water & Life! The exciting part for me is to teach you to enjoy your moment in the dance as I capture it from behind my camera.
Looking forward to Capturing Your Dance In The Rain

NEW Session Lay Flat Albums!!!

Tuesday, June 21st, 2011

So excited to share our new Session Lay Flat Albums.  These albums are AWESOME!  I will tell you about them first then share images.  They are just between my hinged albums and Full on Flush mounted Wedding Albums.  They fit perfectly for any session!  Right now I offer 2 sizes:

8×8 and 10×10 sizes

They come with a matted soft silk photo cover and leather spine.  It is GORGEOUS and great feel to the touch.  The pages are a silk page that are finger print proof.  Nice thick, firm pages.  Come with 20 sides /10 spreads.  The album will have around 25 images depending on the design used.  You have the final approval before it is sent to print.

Session Albums can be purchased on their own or we have a session album upgrade that includes High Resolutions Digital Files for purchases over $500.  Feel free to ask me about this HUGE savings and opportunity!

Alrighty then, here are the images.  More to come.

There are other sizes that I can price out for you – but the ones I primarily carry will be the 2 listed above.  If you want another size that what I have to offer simply ask for the availability and price.

In the Green

Sunday, June 19th, 2011

Nathanya is a child that has subtle facial expression changes – but makes for some extremely awesome dramatic shots.  She had decided that she wanted to have her pictures taken in the trees.  I was shocked since she loves the beach, but very excited because she is not one that does much more than make mud castles LOL.  So we went and played in the trees!  We had so much fun in the woods.

Here is what we came up with.

I have to share what happened here on this last take from this log.  She was sitting there and says – There is a spider on me!!!  I asked if she could flick it off her so she says ok and just flicked it off.  When she did I see this HUGE thing fly from her lap!!!  This was no little spider – she did not scream at all, but had had it with that log.  LOL  Thus this lovely shot which is a personal favorite.  I actually have many favorites from this day.

I love the innocence of children – they make me smile whether they are on the beach, in the playground, or in the woods.  They are darling ~ and capturing them in their element fills my happy cup!

Jared = Adventure + Curiosity

Sunday, June 12th, 2011

There is something to be said about boys.  You put them in any environment and the adventure begins.  Their curiosity about life and everything in it takes over propelling them into quite adventurous moments.  That is how it is with Jared.  No exception to this rule.  Here are a few.  The cool part is that this boy will talk you silly about each and every detail along the way.  I swear he will grow to be someone in the limelight :)   Such a QT!

Just looking at him makes my heart smile so big!

Mimi vs the Beach

Sunday, June 12th, 2011

Mimi is full of life and spunk.  Getting her on the beach is one of the greatest moments because her creative mind goes into overdrive and she makes having a camera so worth while.  LOL  Here are just some of my favorite shots from her this day.

The joy that a child experiences on the beach is priceless.  Being able to be there and capture it brings me that much more joy.

Mrs. Amberlee Harder

A childhood girlfriend of mine came from a family of 10 children.  We had so much fun in school.  The greatest part of it is that we got along with the entire family and they with ours.  We often spent time having dinners and parties together.  A beautiful family!  Well, her baby sister grew up and moved away to have a family of her own.  She has also blossomed into a great business owner of her own photography business in Oregon/Idaho area ~ Perfect Moments Photography.  She was in my area just last week – so we had her stop in and stay the night.  The next day we went and did a mini photo shoot in my area.  It was so fun to play with this sweet talented dear of a girl!!!  Thank you A.  After that we drove out to Yakima and shot a wedding until 10 pm at which point we both drove in opposite directions to our own homes.  The coolest part is that we checked up on each other every 3 minutes or so to make sure we were safe.  It was so nice to feel loved by a great friend after a fantastic day of shooting.  We both made it home around 1 am sound and safe.  Here are the results of her shoot.

I could use more days like this where I get to just play.  Thanks again Amberlee :)

HS Senior Bookmark Special Update

Saturday, June 11th, 2011

There has been many requests to use the special for family or other children.  I am opening this special to Families, Children, Newborn.  It is a fabulous opportunity.  The only thing that will differ between your shoot and that of a HS senior is that it will be limited to 1 outfit (one you come in) and 1 location.

This special is being offered to couples as well.  Anniversary – Just for the KISS of it ;) – and Engagements!  They can be treated like the HS senior shoot where you have up to 3 locations to choose from and up to 2 outfit changes.

The summer is filling up very quickly so get booked now before there are no more slots.  If you are wanting to view a metal print we can schedule a time to meet and let you view the product.  The Metal prints will blow your mind away!!!
