Baby M has been wanted for a long time.  After much prayer he finally decided to join this sweet family!  M joining this family is a blessing, and my getting to take his first professional photos was an honor.  Now traditionally photographers like to take pictures of the baby newborns before they are two weeks old because they sleep and are more manageable before that 2 week mark.  Baby M was a bit older and becoming more alert.  All this is normal but can make a session last longer than expected.  With baby sessions I let everyone know it depends on the baby.  They need to eat and have accidents in their diapers.  All these things take time – so a session with an infant can take up to 4 hours.  Seems like a long time but in the end it is worth it.

Once a baby passes that 2 week mark they become alert and sleep a whole lot less.  Still makes for some darling shots – just takes more patience.

Since then we have done baby M’s 1 year pictures and this December will be doing his 2 year images.  He has grown so much!  It is fun to look back at the very beginning and how far he has come.  Congratulations again to Michelle and Cameron.
