About CJ Wilkes Photography

Capturing Your Dance In The Rain is such a thrill and joy to me. Being able to look back on those special times through beautiful artistic imagery makes it a worthwhile challenge.
Learning to Dance in the Rain has been very easy for me. I am drawn to Water & Life! The exciting part for me is to teach you to enjoy your moment in the dance as I capture it from behind my camera.
Looking forward to Capturing Your Dance In The Rain

Boys and Girls

Time goes quickly and the little ones grow.  Pretty soon they are not just babies, but boys and girls.  They run and play and just live life to its fullest.  When I started out it happened because I had some beautiful children that I wanted to capture in their youth.  I wanted to document those moments in life that a memory cannot always hold still forever.  It was a matter of turning these into everlasting moments.

When I go with my family anywhere I rarely go without my camera.  If I am without it I bite myself for missing this or that.  Well, I could not and would not this time.  Not only that – I had an excuse for wanting to play with a new lens.   Here are just a few to share with you, because although I have fantastic clients – these little ones are the reason I have become the photographer I am today.

My five consist of Miriam, twins ~ Jared and Nathanya, Samuel, and Edmond

We attempt to make things fair so that they all feel the equal love we have for them.  I extend that into my photography as well.  One thing I have started is a wall of photographic art of my kids.  I have made larger (16×24) metal prints that they can take with them once they have grown and moved out.  At the moment I have been working on getting Jared’s.  Here are some of the images I am trying to choose from:

Then just because I like a fun silhouette

Nathanya is such a trouper and was begging for pictures.  I of coarse could not resist, but had to hurry since she has NO body fat and it was windy + cold out.  I am so glad because they turned out adorable!

Then Miriam.  She is always photogenic.  However, for whatever reason I always get closeups of her and rarely a full body.  I was ecstatic that it worked out this time!

I have shared Samuel and Edmond’s.  Will have more of them in the future.  Meanwhile, Thanks for allowing me this time to share my babies.  :)
